Isn't this what we all say, when we are on our way to a fabulous adventure, like Hawaii or bust. Or The Grand Canyon or Bust. Well this is Laura becoming an everyday blogger of bust. I don't quit know what happens if you don't reach the destination. Because we've always gotten to where we're going. So I guess we'll see what happens if one day I forget to Blog. It will be interesting to see what busts.
Well since this is the beginning of a Smith update we should start with the new year 2009. It started out with a bang at the Smith home all the Worthington family was here for a fun filled night of starting off with a Pajama party so if the littles fall asleep their already for bed. Delicious food, talents the kind that you can laugh and laugh until you cry. Lots of Balloons 2009 to be not quite exact, a drop(holding all the balloons and confetti in the family room jimmy rigged by Uncle David and Curtis) and tons and tons and tons of confetti. This is something that I love. There has been in the past a lot of protesting to this tradition. I have now convinced that finding confetti all through the year under and in everything throughout the house reminds us of the fun we've had.

The Smith Crew---Consists of Dad (Curtis) Mom (Laura) Austin, Katelyn, Conner, Tanner. Our family is trying something new this year. Or I should say I'm trying something new this year. It's the year of mom learning to surf the net, make a family blog, shop e-bay, actually send e-mails back and to stop asking Tanner the 7 year old how to buy songs on itunes. (Pathetic,) I know but I have to start somewhere. (Ha, Ha). Oh yeah and learning to text faster then the teens in the house. I can't wait to have them quit laughing under their breath and asking me if I need help.

Boys will be Boys
Austin and Friends traveled with me for 4 fun filled days to Vegas. Thursday we drove and drove to Grandma Smith's house in Vegas, the boys talked and laughed all the way. Friday was such a hot day. It was 112! We started out by swimming and eating donuts from donut time (one of our families favorites). We traveled down to Town Square (new shopping district) and ate at Claim Jumper. I've learned that I can eat more than teenage boys (sad really). We then went to the movies and saw GET SMART. (Why is it that all movie theaters don't have the option of regular popcorn or delicious kettle corn)? Get Smart was a funny movie we laughed and laughed. We then went back to the house and swam some more into the wee hours of the morning. Saturday everyone slept in. We then gave everyone the option to pick something they wanted to do and we'd go do it. Austin picked the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay. Levi, Joe, Cameron and Zach picked riding on the stratosphere 2 exciting rides. The view from the top of the stratosphere was amazing to say the least. Last but not least the Cheesecake Factory was the finale for Saturday. Great food and we were the only ones there. It was 11:00pm never to late for Cheesecake. Sunday was a beautiful day the boys swam for a while then we drove home. We had a great weekend full of laughing, seeing who could get me sopping wet (Levi you win but remember I just get even), fun, talking and good food.
